Coursework Brief - Film Opening Sequence

For my foundation coursework I will be creating the opening sequence for an imaginary film from a genre of my choice. The opening sequence will last approximately two minutes and will include titles.

I have found a useful website for film titles called Art of the Title which I will be using in the future ahead of making my opening sequence.

I will be conducting research into existing film opening sequences and once I have decided on my genre I will look at the ways that opening sequences use genre to create meaning for the audience. I will also plan the filming and editing of my opening scene, and record all of my research and planning on this blog.
